A Joint International Workshop on Marine Ecology was held at SARNU on 11th Dec. 2016.
Based on an already signed MoU between the Sari Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources University (SANRU)-Iran and the Salento University-Italy, Prof. Alberto Basset was invited for a formal visit from the SANRU and having a workshop entitled” The Effects of Climate Changes and Global warming on Aquatic Ecosystems”. Accordingly, Prof. Alberto Basset presented his speech at the faculty of Animal Sciences and Fisheries in presence of academic staffs and postgraduate students.
Based on his visiting schedule, Prof. Alberto Basset had a meeting with the Board of Directors of the SANRU. At the beginning of this meeting, Prof. Mohammad-Ali Bahmanyar, the President of SANRU, welcomed the attendance of Prof. Basset at the SANRU and briefly introduced the SANRU’s academic and research qualifications and potentials to him. Afterward, they further discussed the initiation of a joint educational program at the M.Sc. level in Aquatic Environment Ecology course among the Salento University as the coordinator and the SANRU and a partner university from the Greek as the members. The day after, Prof. Alberto Basset had a field visit from both Miankaleh Wildlife Reserve and Gomishan Bay.
