The First Planning Meeting for the 20th National Rice Conference Held
According to the Office of International Scientific Cooperation and citing the National Center for Rice Research and Innovation, the first planning meeting for the 20th National Rice Conference was held at Sari Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources University with the participation of the organizing committee members.
Dr. Morteza Oladi, Director of the Center and Executive Secretary of the Conference, stated that the meeting was attended by representatives from the National Rice Association, Rice Research Institute–Mazandaran Branch, the University’s Vice President for Research and Technology, the Director of the Tabarestan Agricultural Genetics and Biotechnology Research Institute, Dr. Hemmatollah Pirdashti, a faculty member of the University, and the National Center for Rice Research and Innovation. During the meeting, “Rice Economy” was designated as the main theme for the conference, scheduled for Bahman 1404 (February 2026).
Dr. Oladi further announced that Dr. Hemmatollah Pirdashti was appointed as the Scientific Secretary of the Conference, while he himself serves as the Executive Secretary of this national event.
At the conclusion of the meeting, participants visited the university’s dry-land rice cultivation field, reflecting the institution’s commitment to advancing modern rice cultivation methods.
