Following 12 Days of National and Institutional Resistance Against Aggression Toward Iran and Its Academic Foundations
“If you support Allah, He will support you and make your steps firm.”
(Holy Qur’an – Surah Muhammad, Verse 7)
The honorable and courageous people of Iran have once again demonstrated, through their resilience and bravery, that they are the proud heirs to a civilization and culture spanning thousands of years—symbolized by the enduring cypress tree and majestic Mount Damavand. A nation that, while rooted in peace and human dignity, has proven to be among the most steadfast and valiant when confronted with threats to its sovereignty and identity.
The twelve days of unified resistance by the Iranian nation and government in the face of aggression from two nuclear-armed powers proved that morality and culture can still triumph over brutality and violence. Iran, a land of enlightenment and wisdom, has risen like a phoenix from the ashes—once again committed to the pursuit of development and progress.
While we mourn the irreplaceable loss of our brave martyrs—whether from the academic community, among military commanders, or across the wider population—the national solidarity and historical consciousness forged through this profound struggle have become invaluable assets for Iranian society. The people of Iran have emerged with a clearer and deeper understanding of their true allies and adversaries—and have helped the world to witness this clarity as well.
Though we carry the sorrow of lost lives close to our hearts, we are now more determined than ever to safeguard two essential pillars of our national identity:
1. Enduring national unity among all Iranians, and
2. The critical importance of advancing science and technology.
These were the very foundations the enemy sought to undermine. Yet, thanks to the unwavering awareness of the Iranian people and the heroic resistance of the armed forces—both the Army and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps—under the wise leadership of the Supreme Leader, these hostile plans were decisively defeated.
On behalf of Iran’s academic community, we extend our deepest gratitude to the nation’s military forces who defended the homeland with unparalleled courage and dignity. We declare with firm resolve that the institutions of science and technology in the Islamic Republic of Iran, inspired by the sacrifice of our martyrs, remain committed to fostering national unity and advancing scientific excellence for the future of our beloved Iran.
